The Father and I are one...

To step into the pages of God's Word is as Henry Blackaby titled it, "Experiencing God".

That thought caused me to think about my dad who is now with the Lord. All the time, I was blessed to share with my dad I never once thought, “it sure was nice to experience my dad today”.

Because it was deeper than just an experience. He was part of my dad. (I had come from him). It was as if I was one with him. I laughed at what he laughed at. I enjoyed what he enjoyed. To the point that even when he gave his life to the Lord so did I. Because whatever he did, I did. My relationship with him was the relationship that brought me to my Heavenly Father.

Experiencing God, to me is like a visitation from God (may be a play on word). Now, don’t get me wrong a visitation is good. But my thinking is that a visitor eventually leaves. But when I think about the Lord in my life, I think about a habitation. I want to live and resigned with Him forever.

Jesus never experienced the Father. He was the Father. One with the Father. They were one.

And I'm glad He prayed for his disciples and for us this prayer in John 17:21 “That they all may be one; as thou, Father, are in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me”.

“Pairing”

I’m sure many have had the opportunity to use one of the coolest electronic devices ever, the Bluetooth! You use it with your cell phone, laptop or IPad?  What a brilliant device!  I use mine with all three!  It’s totally cool how two or more devices can be joined together by a process called “Pairing”.  You can stream phone calls, music, videos and more!

Every time you connect the Bluetooth with one of your devices you will usually hear the word “Pairing” confirming that the process of connection is taking place.  What’s been really interesting for me is that every time I would hear that word it would resonate in my spirit, as if there was more.

Needless to say, as the Lord would have it, early one morning before being fully awaken He begins to speak to me about that word.  “Pairing”.

Definition - “Pairing” - to become one with, the act of putting two things together to combine or join (one person or thing) with another to form a pair.

Okay, if you have never used the Bluetooth device, I am sure you have seen people wearing them in their ears.  They have the kind that fits over the outside of the ear and the earpiece placed inside. Or the more fancy ones that can be worn around the neck, placing only the earpiece into your ears.  Many of us (when wearing them) think we’re looking important, walking around with the devices sticking in our ears or hanging around our necks (lol)!  We either use them to talk on our cell phones, listen to music, or use as headphones when watching online movies.

After repetitively hearing the word “Pairing” it confirmed that one sure way of becoming one with something or someone is through hearing. If it can get through the ear gate, it can get to your mind, and into your heart.

The harsh reality, too many of God’s people are “Pairing” with things that are separating them from Him.   What are you pairing with? Or in other words what have you become one with?  Sadly, many have paired with things that have caused them to be deafened to the voice of God.

The bible says do not be unequally yoked (paired) with unbelievers: for what fellowship has righteousness with unrighteousness?  And what communion has light with darkness?  2 Corinthians 6:14 AKJV

That bible also says - What? Know ye not that he which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two, saith he, shall be one flesh. I Corinthians 6:16 KJV

“Pairing” and the two shall become one...

God has invited us to be joined “paired” with Him by way of His son.  Jesus says in John 14:6 No man can come to the Father accept by Me.  KJV.

Jesus is one (paired) with the Father...” “...he that hath seen me hath seen the Father;   John 14:9 KJV

The Spirit is one (paired) with Jesus, ...the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.  John 14:26 KJV

To be paired with the Holy Spirit is to be paired with the Father.  And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.
John 14:16 KJV

We are to be one “Paired” with the Godhead bodily.

Jesus says in John 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, are in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: KVJ

God is calling you out – “Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
2 Corinthians 6:17 KJV

And the LORD God called to Adam, and said to him, “Where are you”?  We used to be paired.  We use to be one.  We used to walk in the cool of the day.  We used to walk in the Spirit together.  Genesis 3:9 NKJV

Can you hear God speaking?  Do you have ears to hear Him? His Word?  His Voice?

He that hath ears to hear let him hear.  Matthew 11:15 KJV

As you connect with your electronic devices I pray you’ll be reminded of that which is of ultimate importance "Pairing" with the Father.

I Bless Your Name!

As I was driving to work the other morning I was praying in the Holy Ghost.  In the midst of my prayer I begin to say, “Lord, I bless your name” repeating it a couple of times, “Lord, I bless your name”, “Lord, I bless your name,” I heard the Lord say in return, “And I bless your name”.  At which time I became overwhelm with emotions, as I thought, ok God, would you really say that to me, “And I bless your name”?  Now, if I have learned anything: I have learned by the Holy Ghost to find confirmation in the word of God.  So later on in the day as I sat at my desk those words came back to my spirit, “And I bless your name”.

Being reminded of Proverbs 22:1, which reads, “good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favor rather than silver and gold”. The thought occurred, when God blesses your name its His favor and He causes your name to be chosen (remembered); because of the good things that's attached to it. God then places you on the hearts of people that you know and those you don’t know.  He brings your name to remembrance (as He did Joseph); because of the good works that precedes your name.  He blesses your name. The word also says in Psalms 84:11 “...no good thing will He withhold from those that walk up rightly”.  As we walk up right before God, we allow our light to shine before men that they may see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

By the Spirit I hear the Lord saying, “And I bless your name” for two reasons (1) because of the cries that have come up to me and (2) And for such a time as this.  Many will begin to experience uncommon favor.  You’ll get phone calls, letters, texts, emails, etc. from people you haven’t heard from for a long time, some you’ve forgotten, many that have forgotten you.  They’ll inquire of you.  But it’s important to remember that it’s all for the Glory of God.

Always walk in holy reverence of His Name and He’ll bless your name!
